Here’s what I can do for you.

  • Conduct research.

You have questions that need answering. Free art market research is abundant, but perhaps you need the market of a specific artist or sector to be summarized in a legible, well-formatted executive report. Or maybe it’s an esoteric object such as a silver spoon with an unusual design that you need to find out its origin of manufacture. I’ll charge a fixed fee for the research report (minimum of $600). Should you require appraisal services, I will put you in contact with a certified appraiser.

  • Advise on purchase and sales of art.

Do you need help finding the right art, or in selling art that you own? I can assist in creating a budget, narrow down purchase outlets according to preference and help review documentation if necessary. I can help you with estimates of sales and connect you with relevant dealers. These projects usually require a longer time frame and I would discuss the appropriate fee for your budget with you.

Do you have a collection that has been left unassessed for a while, perhaps even decades? I can help you set up a plan to assess, store or manage a collection. You may need experts such as appraisers or an archivist. The project fee will be a negotiated fixed amount.

  • Writing and editing services.

I provide detailed feedback complete with editing for style and grammar on short pieces. Typically, these are no longer than 1,500 words and you will be charged a fixed fee of no more than $150.

For longer complex projects above 3,000 words, I would expect ongoing consultations. I would charge either a fixed fee or a minimum of $300.

I can also collaborate with you on long-term projects. I’ll provide you with guidance on setting up a budget, copyright considerations, dealing with printers if self-publishing, in addition to writing and editing until the final draft. The project fee will be a negotiated fixed amount.
